Let’s get ready for the 2025 Rama Pirates Swim Team!

Swim Structure for 2025:
Shrimp Swimmers – will consist of swimmers ages 5 and 6.
  • Shrimp swimmers will NOT swim at Queen City Summer League Meets
  • Shrimp meets will be on Saturday mornings in June
  • Shrimp meets will include a warm up, stroke clinic, Shrimp meet

Shrimp Meet Schedule – ALL warm ups and stroke clinics will start at 8:30am the meet will be immediately following the stroke clinic

  • Saturday, May 31, 2025 – 1 hour Stroke Clinic
  • Saturday, June 7, 2025 – warm up, stroke clinic, meet
  • Saturday, June 14, 2025 – warm up, stroke clinic, meet
  • Saturday, June 21, 2025 – Shrimp All Star Meet
HOUSE TEAM (noncompetitive) – will consist of swimmers ages 7-18 who do NOT wish to compete in the Queen City Summer League meets but still want to be part of swim team at Rama in a less competitive way.
  • The House Team will NOT compete in the Queen City Summer League meets.
  • The House Team will have a stroke clinic and meet on Saturday mornings after the Shrimp meets.

House Team Meet Schedule – ALL warm ups and stroke clinics will start at 9:45am

  • Saturday, May 31, 2025 – 1 hour Stroke Clinic
  • Saturday, June 7, 2025 – warm up, stroke clinic, meet
  • Saturday, June 14, 2025 – warm up, stroke clinic, meet
  • Saturday, June 21, 2025 – Final warm up, stroke clinic, meet
All swimmers who chose HOUSE or SHRIMP team will practice at the following times:
  1. Shrimps and HOUSE Team will begin weekly practices May 27, 2025 and continue through June 20, 2025.
    • Starting 5/27/25, while CMS is in school, the Afternoon Practices will be, Mon-Fri: 

      4:30p-5p shrimpers

      5:00p-6:00p 8&U 9/10s

      5:45p-7:00p 11/12s and up

    • Starting 6/11/25, Morning Practices will be, Mon-Fri:

      8:30a-9:45a 11/12s and older

      9:30a-10:30a 8&u, 9/10s

      10:30a-11:00a shrimps

  2. On Saturday, May 31, 2025, we will host a 1-hour stroke clinic to teach the proper strokes for swim team. *This will be open to Shrimp swimmers as well.*
  3. On Saturday, June 7 and June 14, we will host a 30 minute stroke clinic and then a 30min swim meet immediately after.
  4. On Saturday June 21, we will host a Shrimp All Star Meet.
LEAGUE TEAM (competitive) – will consist of swimmers ages 7 – 18 who WANT to compete in the Queen City Summer League meets.
  1. Per the league rules, our League team can only bring a total of 100 swimmers to each meet, for all age groups.
  2. Starting 5/5/25, while CMS is in school, the Afternoon Practices will be, Mon-Fri:

    5:00p-6:00p 8&U 9/10s

    5:45p-7:00p 11/12s and up

  3. Starting 6/11/25, Morning Practices will be, Mon-Fri:

    8:30a-9:45a 11/12s and older

    9:30a-10:30a 8u & 9/10s

  4. Meet Schedule – ALL meets start at 6pm. You must have your swimmer at the meet location not later than 5:15pm for each meet. 
    1. June 2 (Monday) – at Shannon Park
    2. June 5 (Thursday) – at TBD
    3. June 9 (Monday) – Rama (home) vs Painted Rays
    4. June 12 (Thursday) – Rama (home) vs Windrow
    5. June 16 (Monday) – at Pine Lake
    6. June 19 (Thursday) – (possible makeup meet)
    7. June 24 (Tuesday) – All Star Meet
    8. June 27 – Swim Banquet (tentative)
  5. Please note: Swimmers ages 7-18 may choose the option of being on the House or the League Team.
  6. For any swimmers who choose the House team, we intend to organize house meets for those age groups on May 31, June 7, 14, and 21.
PARENTS: 
Please consider the swim meet schedule, and your swimmer’s desire to compete.
If you will be out of town, unable to commit to attending the meets, or your swimmer is not sure about swimming in meets against other teams, we encourage you to sign up for the House Team.
If enough swimmers sign up for the House Team, we can plan fun meets for each age.
For those swimmers aged 7 – 18 who choose the League Team, we may have to limit how many meets your child can compete in for QCSL. During the 2024 season, we did not have to limit any swimmer, so we don’t anticipate this being necessary in 2025. We will communicate with as much notice as possible.
REGISTRATION: Opens on January 1, 2025 on the website. You will have the option to choose HOUSE (noncompetitive), LEAGUE (competitive), or Shrimp (required for ages 5 & 6) Team for each child you register.
COST: Registration will be $125 per swimmer for 2025.
This includes: a swim team t-shirt, dedicated coaches, hours of stroke instruction and fun.
*We also hire a dedicated lifeguard for practices and meets for our youngest swimmers.
