1. Is Rama Swim Club on a waitlist?
   Yes, for full pool memberships for our Family and Standard/Couple options, we are on a waitlist of approximately 4-5yrs. Our Volleyball, Racquet, and Senior memberships are not currently on a waitlist.
2. How many new memberships spaces does Rama have available each year?
   The number of available spots each year is dependent on how many current Rama members resign their membership each year. Current members renew from Jan 1 through Mar 31 each year, and after this period, we will begin offering spots to new members beginning Apr 1.
3. How do I get on the waitlist?
   Joining the waitlist is easy! Click here to sign up and pay a $100, non-refundable deposit on your initiation fee. Getting on the waitlist puts your name in line for membership, and the waitlist fee is deducted when you are offered, accept membership, and pay the initiation fee in full.
4. Who can be a member at Rama?
   Rama is not governed by a geographical area or specific neighborhood, so anyone can join the coolest club in Charlotte. The primary account owner must be aged 21 and over to become a Rama Swim Club member.
5. What are the initiation fees to join Rama?
   For our 2026 full pool memberships, Family and Standard/Couples pay a $1,700 initiation fee to join. This fee may be split in two payments, over the first summer joined, and in renewing the second summer.  Any paid waitlist fee will be deducted from the initiation fee, once paid in full.
   Racquet members pay a $300 initiation fee to join as a Racquet member.
6. What are the membership dues for Rama?
   All member dues are subject to change by decision of the Rama Swim Club Board of Directors, and are available on the member dashboard for current members. Any update to dues will be provided to members prior to Jan 1st of each year.
7. Can I avoid paying the credit card fees on my initiation fees and membership dues? 
   Our credit card processor, PayPal, charges a 2.9% fee for purchases, plus a $.49/transaction fee. This is added on top of your purchase of an initiation or membership due. You can avoid paying this by writing a check to Rama Swim Club for your total, less the fees, and mail to: 6109 Wheeler Drive, Charlotte, NC 28211.
8. Can I bring guests with me?
   Current members may bring guests. Pool members (Family) have 10 guest passes included in their annual renewal. Pool members (Standard/Individual) have 5 guest passes included in their annual renewal. Volleyball & Racquet members must purchase guest passes ahead of making a reservation that will require the use of one or more guest passes. All guest passes are $5 each, and may be purchased from your member dashboard or by clicking SHOP at the top of the homepage, then choose Guest Passes.
9. I’ve been on the waitlist from a previous year. When will I hear about if I got into Rama?
   After our current members renew their membership from Jan 1 – Mar 31, we will offer spots to new members beginning Apr 1 each year. The number of available spots varies each year, depending on renewals. If you don’t receive an email by May 10th, please feel free to reach out to us at RamaSwimClub@gmail.com.  Our waitlist is now around 4-5 years.
